Prologue

Hi there, this is Ansh; one of the creators of Imagify. And I would like to announce that we are officially launching the product today. It has been a pleasure building the product from scratch. When we first thought of the idea, we didn’t know how to move forward. What architecture to use, where to host it, what stack to use, etc. But as time went by, we figured it out and iterated based on feedback. We are really proud that all our beta testers love the product which made us confident to launch the product today.

Imagify.ml’s value proposition

The Idea

The idea originated from not being able to add a custom OG image to my resume hosted as a PDF on Google Drive & my public Notion page. So I started looking for the products and eventually stumbled upon AnyImage.io. It’s is similar to what we do, but it isn’t trusted very well. Moreover, its UI/UX is clunky and there is no option to add a custom slug.

Eventually, I got frustrated, & I thought I will build it myself. At worst, it will be yet another learning opportunity to use AWS and learn DynamoDB. So the journey began in May 2021, and after few months, here we are launching the product. It’s been really fun.

The Product

The way the product works is very straightforward. Just follow the simple steps below.

  • Upload an image of your choice. We recommend something with an aspect ratio of 1.91/1 (1200 x 627 px). You can upload images of any aspect ratio though.
  • Once uploaded, you will be redirected to the details page where you have to fill in all the details like the Title, Description, Destination URL, etc. You can also choose the size of the OG (Large or Normal) as well. As a cherry on the cake, you can choose a custom slug/alias for your Imagified link as well 😍. How cool is that?
  • Once you fill in all the details and confirm, you are redirected to the view page where you will see the Imagified link of the Destination URL with the custom OG you just created. You can also test it out with the social media debuggers we provide as well. Though it will across all the social sites.
  • Your Imagified link is now ready, use it wherever you like & increase your social presence and conversation rates for free.

If you are still unsure, we have a video that explains in detail about it’s working. You can watch it here.

Our Tech Stack

If you are interested, we are currently using NodeJs, ExpressJs & DynamooseJs as our primary stack hosted on AWS’s EC2 instance of Elastic Beanstalk. You can check our public repo for Imagify here.

Closure

That’s it. That’s all I have to say about the launch. Oh! How the hell I forgot about this? I would like to thank the other creators who helped me build this; Shashikanth & Laxmi, thank you for helping me build this.

If you have any questions related to the product, please shoot us an email at hello@imagify.ml or you can also DM us on Twitter if you like.
